Part 1: Rhine Express
Travel by train along both banks of the historic Rhine River to explore and discover the dramatic German countryside and stunning towns and cities. Beginning in Cologne we take the train along the East bank riding the rails usually reserved for Germany’s busy freight. This magnificent journey ends in the welcoming city of Frankfurt after taking in Bonn and the historic town of Wiesbaden.
Part 2: Riviera Bound
Few destinations conjure the romance and beauty of glorious France. Starting our journey in Paris, you’ll view all landmarks which have made Paris famous. The journey visits the cities of Avignon and Marseilles, where sunlit cafes do old fashioned squares. Arriving on the Riviera, you’ll be spellbound by the enticing beauty of the glamorous cities of Cannes, Nice and Monaco.
Part 3: Belgian Byways
Explore Belgium’s ancient cities and landscapes from the unique perspective of the railway carriage. Travel by train from Brussels to Bruges, on the rail byways of Belgium to explore a country with a mix of classical and modern landscapes, ancient towns and cities. Stunning scenery, breathtaking architecture and beautiful landscapes combine to give the viewer a unique travel experience.
Part 4: Sicilian Connection
Available for the first time on DVD, the classical and fascinating film taking in the sights and sounds in southern Italy travelling from Rome to the southern tip of Italy and on to the island of Sicily. During this journey we travel through Italy’s south, visiting some of the Mediterranean’s most beautiful coastline and skirting some of Italy’s widest mountains, including Europe’s great active volcanoes, Vesuvius and Mount Etna.
Part 5: Austrian Explorer
A stunning railway journey from East to West. For such a small country, Austria can boast about its cultural wealth and this is captured in this stunning film that takes you on a journey from east to west, aboard the one and only Austrian Explorer.
