Bronze Age Massacre

It looks just like any other modern housing estate in Holland but Wassenaar hides a secret, horrific past. Physical anthropologist Dr Liesbeth Smits is trying to explain a mysterious excavation she took part in. A grave dating from the early/middle Bronze Age was excavated containing the skeletons of twelve individuals: six men, two women and four children. One of the children had been decapitated, a woman was buried face down with her face in her hand (as if to cover up a terrible injury) and a male victim had a flint arrowhead buried between his ribs. Had they died in battle or was their death due to something far more sinister? Could these people be the victims of mass murder?
